I saw a very cool product mentioned in the Smoke Signals Product Announcements for the January 2015 issue, something called the Super-Chuffer! I'll have to look into that, sounds interesting.

Shameless John, shameless,

If you were on "Around The Horn" on ESPN you would be muted for shameless self promotion.
Super-chuffer sounds like me reciprocating upstairs to the train room.
Shameless self-promotion is what has made America a great country. Fred

[CHAIN-PULLING MODE ON]
I heard that the guy who makes those things is a real goof ball...

Gosh, I just thought it was a public service announcement. First thing of mine that ever made it into OGR, I'll have to work on more.
John...you are a sly devil..!!!
Alan
Good for you John. Get the publicity wherever you can. Hope you do very well with it.
Thanks all, it's been a fun project in any case. I doubt I'll get rich, but it may buy me a locomotive and some rolling stock.
Tsk, tsk, tsk, give yourself a kiss in a mirror.
.....
Dennis
DONE!
John,
What issue did you say that was in? Joe
The latest one, Run 275 in the Smoke Signals section, the new product announcements.
There's absolutely nothing wrong with trying to introduce a new product to its intended end users, IMHO.
I'll be glad to keep my eye open for this.
I would have you do this upgrade, if I owned any Lionel's...My MTH engines seem to be accomplished smoke hogs already
MTH does a great job with smoke, and so there's no use for my little board in those. The target is TMCC upgrades and/or older TMCC locomotives that have continuous smoke. Of course, if you have a puffer in it, an upgrade to fan driven smoke and the Super-Chuffer is a good move as well!
Way to go, John!
Alex
If I were a smart man, I'd ship my LionMaster T-1 and have YOU do the upgrade. IF I were a smart man...
Jon
John I downloaded this issue the other night and now I lost my main computer last night. I guess I"ll have to load it on to this computer (tiny screen)
Alex, when are we going to see a new product announcement for your neat non-contact points detector. That was a serious development effort, and a very nice project!
Jon, take the plunge, it'll be a learning experience to install it.
Scot, it's a small announcement, it should fit on the little screen.
John, Did you say 274 or 275? Joe
Scot, it's a small announcement, it should fit on the little screen.
I hate this computer I will try to get it onto the larger screen I have.
I still need to down load it to this laptop
Shameless John, shameless,
Brad
Yup. That's what I was thinking too! Congrats John!
Thanks guys. It's fun to see one of your creations get a little press.
John, I did notice. Any publicity is good publicity. I'm thinking that my RS5 version of the H7 may need one.
Jon, take the plunge, it'll be a learning experience to install it.
Sorry... it's already on your workbench!
Jon
Right, that's in the queue. They're piling up, I have to get a helper!
Make him a good one!
Jon
They're all good! My biggest issue is I try to do things too good and it just takes more time for each job. I'd starve to death if I actually had to live on updates.

Scot, Be careful of the power of the Super-Chuffer. It has already smoked one of your computers. Pat B.
Hi John • The US Mail Lady brought my Run 275 today, I am now reading page 11. If you have time, turn to page 16, top photo.
Cheers from Michigan

Nice, but aren't you lost? You're in PRR tracks.
Maybe next issue?
John how manny copy's of OGR did you buy 10 or 15 copy's
Plenty Harry.
Did anyone else have pages 5-17 come undone or unglued in their paper copy?
John: Will the Super-Chuffer take me from 2 chuffs to 4 chuffs per revolution?
The Super-Chuffer doesn't change the number of chuffs, you have to do that with the chuff switch. I did tinker with the possibility of expanding the chuffs based on timing, but it really didn't sound that good. Tracking the changes in timing was just a bit too tricky to get spot-on.
