I grew up watching the trains on the ore dock at Marquette, MI, at least every summer. My  view was always from the ground, usually from Presque Isle. So, seeing operation up top by means of this drone video was just incredible.

I'll bet TrainRoomGary and other Michiganders will enjoy it as well. Can you imagine an O-gauge model?

Hi B&O Bill: Thanks for the shout out.

No LS&I but I have an E7 Pere Marquette on my layout by Williams.

1 Pere Marquette

I have spent a lot of time at the ore docks.  My son is a graduate of Michigan Technological University and it is a short drive from Michigan Tech. to the ore docks. He married a Yooper and they gave me two grandchildren who love model trains and real trains. He is now an automotive engineer for one of the major car companies in Detroit. Not a train engineer.

I do have a set of D&M Ore cars. (4)  Wisconsin Central is the locomotive and this is seen in the UP. I am a toy train layout so anything is OK.
