I picked up several prewar Flyer passenger cars at an auction and have a question. I have a "494" car with all red doors and I have a "494" car with all white doors. Is one more rare than the other?

To the best of my knowledge, the only 494 where one door color is rare and raises value significantly is the dark green version. However I can't remember which one is rarer -- I think the white door version is the rare one in the dark green car.
Sounds like you have red 494s with both red and white doors. I have both of these in my collection as well and have not heard that one is more rare than the other.
More experienced AF O collectors may have a different story for you. I hope they chime in!
Thanks for your input Rob...
don't be shy...let's see your finds!

I'm not sure which versions are less common but I don't think I have seen very many green baggage cars with white doors.
This is the blue version with white doors from the Royal Blue set
This is the red version with white doors. A previous owner also added some decals.
