Don’t know how I did it but I misread the ruler or just wasn’t paying attention. I got the decals on these before I discovered the side door is 1 foot too tall. Oh well, I will start over with 2 more later this week.

They look fine to me! I can take one of them off your hands if they are bugging you having them around...
This is the best I could do to come up with an IC caboose to go with my IC Berk...

That looks like a Lionel Woodside Caboose ..I have a NYC version!
Just goes to show you Brother Love, Nobody is Perfect!
However, it looks like you won't have any problem passing them on to Illinois Central modelers who aren't too fussy over one silly foot.
Item: A good number of years ago there was a model manufacturer, Crown Model Products, who released a run of S scale 40 ft. wood billboard reefers with the doors improperly moulded upside down! Just goes to show you, there's even a model "prototype" for anything...LOL
Note: Sundance Publications (www.sundancepubs.com) has several on sale as well as other S scale merchandise. The website was last updated Sept. 24, 2015 so don't know the current status of Sundance. They also offer several of their self published railroad books for sale on the site as well.
a rarity that will be worth a fortube to some collector
Like my boss always said "If you knew how you did it you wouldn't have"
Oooo...and a side door, too..too bad. Now l feel that. . Luckily you have the skills to quickly correct this error with replacements. Show us those with these, as otherwise, l probably wouldn't have noticed. Certainly some commercial ones have bigger errors.

Don't forget to sign them and put them in a special box that also bears your signature.
"Real train manufacturers" would say that they're correct...... because they say so.
I’m selling them as 2nd’s, one is already gone. I know the old adage, measure twice, cut once. I’ll remember it next time.
Gads, who's gonna notice this small error when these fancy cabooses bring up the rear of a fast moving freight on someones Illinois Central O gauge layout anyway?
What's important is never to forget: Model Railroading is STILL Fun!!!

Yes it is! It was close to some of the IC caboose pictures I found searching the net. I was going to add the fourth window on each side, but I am not skilled enough for such work.
I didn’t know they were red. All the pictures I found were black and white...

Yep, I am am far from it. My grandmother was a first class quilter but she purposely placed a flaw in each quilt. She said she did not want to be accused of being perfect.

Brother Love, do you happen to have one of your grandmother's quilts? Mine was working on one which she never finished. I guess it got tossed out when she made the move from Texas to live with her daughter (my mother). I regret that I never pushed her to the point of finishing it for me.
You do great work. Wish I possessed you skills. Please continue to show the models you build, with or w/o any flaws!
