I have heard many complaints about the CW transformer but few about the BW transformer.I have had it for several years and have found it to be quite reliable.Any thoughts about it?

There were so few made that reported failures are few if any. The new GW-180 shares the architecture of the BW.
Wow!I didn't realize it was made in limited quantities!The separate brick must be the key to its reliability!
My BW worked great for a while but now puts out a max of 13-14V. Not on my list of high priorities to fix, but maybe next year after I've got my layout finished.
I bought mine about 10 years ago and still puts out 18 volts so it is good for a small to medium layout.
I've been using mine for Christmas and temporary layouts for years. Never has given me problems.
