We all lament the shrinking paint options currently available to us, so we are forced to look elsewhere.
My dearly departed mom was into tole painting, and gathered a little collection. Among those colors was this:
I needed to do a little repair on the Arvid Anderson PRR hopper I posted about elsewhere and a bit of paint touch up was in order.
I have used this before with pretty good success as a match for (I'm guessing) Floquil PRR red. Here you might be able to see the short "glob" of Walthers Goo I applied, then painted:
It's pretty darn close, I think.
I have not idea where she got it or if it's still available. Maybe Michael's(?)
Anyway, I thought I would pass this on...
