I'm getting a Williams PRR T1 shortly and, well, my passenger car options are pretty limited. I have some 15" Madison type which fit the era but I think may be too short in the long run (pun intended). My aluminum Cong. cars are 15" too so no dice. Most videos I've seen have the longer 18"/21" Broadway Limited cars with Tuscan bodies and black roof but what really should I consider? The "new" Lionel 2016 21" Broadway Limited cars are beyond what I want to pay. Ideally it'd fit the era the T1 was operating and I'd love to see the inside (all mine are silhouettes) with passengers eventually. So what should I be on the lookout for? Lightly used is fine.

My Williams T1 loco+tender is about 30-31" long, O74 is suggested. I have that plus an O64.
Look for Williams PRR lightweight car sets. A bit short, but they do run on O72, maybe a bit less. This is appropriate for 1949 or so. If you want to represent a later period, mail & express with a couple of P70 coaches.
Williams plastic streamlined sets have a lot to be desired. These sets have a dome car that the PRR never had or ran, their coach cars have a window configuration of a sleeping car, and they may or may not have interiors.
Spend your money on MTH 18" sets, either the Tuscan Heavyweights, the streamlined Tuscan sets and the streamlined Tuscan with Fleet of Modernism paint. Not to mention the MTH sets have Obs, sleeping car, coaches, combine car, RPO, and baggage car for their sets.
I have the Williams T1 as well as the Lionel T1 from 2001.

I believe Williams only made one version of the T1, a production model with portholes. These engines were built in late 1945-46 so a bit late for the FOM painted passenger cars. I've seen pictures of the T1 pulling the streamlined Trail Blazer, but most pictures depict the T1 pulling heavyweight cars. After about 1949 the T1 mostly pulled mail trains and express trains.
For a passenger train, I would go with MTH heavyweight cars with this engine. I have the scale Lionel T1, and it pulls an express train made up of Atlas X-29 Express cars, MTH R50b reefers, Weaver B60b baggage cars, and a GGD P70.
Guys, I think I'd be leaning towards the Fleet of Modernism set of 5-7 cars. I'll keep my eyes peeled for something like that in the future. Thanks!

I made an oopsie recommending the Williams set. I really meant Weaver.
I hope this video helps.
I believe I have a MTH 18" aluminum set of five cars for a reasonable price my email is in my profile.
ATERRY11, sent you an email
I have a set of 6 Madison Heavyweights which were Williams Kit cars in 1976 and they have mated with my T-1 very well for over 20 years. They run like a dream.
