I have read that the Peabody Short Line did not use cabooses-rather had a small wood "shack" built onto/into the back of the end hopper. Does anybody have a picture of one of those shacks so I could try to model one. Thanks in advance-and stay safe-turtle7

As always, if you haven't, search the Internet for "Peabody Coal Co Railroad" and variations on that. I did, and found photos of much equipment - but only one of a Peabody train from the end, and there was indeed an odd-looking hopper there, but I could not tell much about it. The photo was taken end-on. It did look like it had a window at the rear. Or a strange shadow,

D500 thanks for the reply. I also found that picture you mention and cannot determine if it truly represents what I was asking about-and that was the only one I could find. I was hoping that someone out there in OGR-land had a book or some other photos of the car(s) in question.
