nice job on joining the two car bodies. What is the overall measurement of the new car?  You going to paint this car.?

As a former missile launch officer, I am interested in your project.  I have been modeling the Minuteman I but could not find an accurate 1/4 model ( although one source claimed to be - I found it to be about 6' too long) so I have been making my own. See my post under Minuteman topic. The problem on my small layout is that the scale missile makes my mountains look small so I also made an accurate S scale model.  As a side note, a member of our club actually worked on that project and said that they had planned to disguise the cars as auto carriers.  My next project will be to try to covert a carrier so I will be loooking forward to your progress

Here is a rare shot of the whole train. My friend was involved with this project.  Project was stopped as part of START treaty.  The Chinese were not a part of that treaty and the missile train is alive and well in China - google Chinese Army 2nd Artillery. I will be interested to see the finished project.
