I'm looking to buy some PRB Santa Fe reefers. It's probably silly to even ask, but I thought I'd give the forum a try. First time posting here. Bill

Been keeping an eye on e-bay, spoke to John Smith at O Scale West...he said that none are left. Thanks for answering. Bill

Just a reminder that they started at $335 retail so expect to pay a premium. I considered it a great deal to get a rather common Rr-25 for $295 a few years ago.
Nice cars, though.
I have a couple of PRB brass cars and they were very nicely done. Explains why they still fetch MSRP+ after all these years.
the best reefers that I have every seen. His ATSF stock cars are very well too; the tank cars are specifically detailed for the roads they represent. If you can locate the TK-J atsf tank cars made in New Zealand--you are in for a treat. They are VERY hard to come across.
I got all of them in plastic and 3 rail. They were ahead of their time. I see that Atlas is offering these cars as a special run after all of these years. Good luck in your quest.

Norm he is referring to his brass ATSF reefers that have never been shot in mold in O scale.

Yes, welcome. Interesting that you waited five years to the day from joining to posting. How did you resist temptation for so long?
Thanks to all of you for welcoming me to the forum. I guess I'd forgotten that I joined 5 years ago! Bill
I've always been curious about the color on the PRB SFRD reefers. IMHO They look too orange, more like a PFE orange. I've never seen that mentioned when these cars are discussed.
Any comments?
I should state that at the time these were made, everything else was also too orange. The more yellow SFRD reefers started with Atlas in O scale, but unlike the PRB reefers, they are not actual Santa Fe models.

Erik - Thank you for the kind words. You are a sterling fellow, too, a master builder, photographer and artist. Did you sneak in line a couple of extra times when talents were being passed out? !!
