There's something I haven't been able to figure out, maybe someone here knows. I recently acquired a T1 with PS1, cab #6110. This version of the train with PS1 would presumably be...and I've often seen it referred to as #20-3043-1, featured in the 2000 Premier catalog.

Except #20-3043-1 pictured in the catalog is a different train with cab #5505. There's no full skirting like the real #6110 and the tender has railings (antennas?) on top in the catalog/website. #20-3043-1 on the website says it's #6110 but there's no skirting and the railings are on the tender.

My train looks like the one available in June 2006, #20-3224-2 that came with PS2. So when was the full skirted, PS1 #6110 produced?

The MTH catalog photo shows a Weaver brass T1.  This was not unusual for MTH to do.  By the time the PS2 version was cataloged, they could show an image of their actual model.

The full skirted #6110 was produced in 1999 or 2000 and I think was the last PS1 steam locomotive.  At least it was the last Pennsy PS1 steamer.  The first PRR PS2 steam locomotive was the E6 Atlantic.  The catalog illustration for that one showed a Williams brass E6.
