Philadelphia Terminal

I feel a high level of certainty that there never was an operating railroad with that name.  There are times when I've cataloged all of the railroad names in the Official Guide and I've spent a lot of time with Official RR Equipment Register and not seen that name.

I couldn't find anything online. The Reading Terminal in Philadelphia came up, and it was referred to as the Philadelphia and Reading terminal in one instance. Maybe that has something to do with it. There were a lot of small, terminal railroads in the past.

Every internet search conducted has lead me to the Reading Terminal. Figure it's a fantasy road, but pretty cool.

I live near Philly and have never heard of the Philadelphia Terminal RR.  I’m wondering if it refers to the car’s assignment, as in the car could be assigned to the Philadelphia Terminal of the PRR, RDG or B&O.  It would be interesting to see a photo.

 Incidentally, years ago, in my daily commute I used to take the subway to City Hall, walk to the Reading Terminal and catch the express train to Chestnut Hill.  There was just enough time waiting for the train at the Reading Terminal to have two beers at the Gateway Tavern.
