Hey OGR Members, just a quick question, I'm just inquisitive: Has anyone purchased any Lionel Pilot Steam Locos lately?

Actually, I just purchased a GS-6 and like it very much. I also have the Pilot 4-12-2 engine. They are basically Legacy steamers. I'm not technical enough to know of any differences other than the finish on the engines, but I like the look and the way they run.

The only difference is the finish.
I like them very much, myself - and I have a few.
I would buy a Pilot NYC Niagara if offered.
A Pilot PRR S-1 6-4-4-6 would be irresistible, I imagine.
I wish that I could have budgeted a Pilot USRA Heavy Mike, but I got the L&N version instead (which needs lettering corrections, so I might as well have ordered the painted unlettered version - or, gee - the Pilot version!).
I would like to see some examples of custom paint jobs that have been applied to pilot locomotives.
