I bought a Polar Express set last year for my son and it has worked great all year. But now the engine isn't running. It has power and everything, it just won't run. I know nothing about trains but I took it apart and checked out the gears and it started running again. However, there's an obvious grinding noise when it does run and then it just stops after a few minutes of running. Could this just be a simple matter of having to lube the gears? I did lube it up a little and that's when it started running again. Any ideas?
