i recently acquired an 027 FA. In the process of attempting to clean her up the armature was inadvertently ejected!

Now the worm gear operation I get, how to reinstall it is something I am not familiar with.

these engines don't look like you can take the housing apart. Does this mean it now will have life as a dummy?

Is there a trick to reinserting the armature? any suggestions appreciated.

As CJ said, this is an easy fix.  There are two screws that hold the motor backplate in place.  There are also two brushes (copper colored cylinders) these fit into holes in the backplate and have springs to hold them against the armature.  Put the brushes in the backplate and screw the backplate to the motor frame.  You might and a little grease to that worm gear.

I took the cover plate off to clean the contact portion of the armature. The whole armature is out of where it was seated now.

The worm gear at the other end of the armature will not screw into the drive gear.

There is no lateral moveable space on the motor housing which apparently is part of the truck? Not familiar with this chassis .

Can this be taken apart with killing the gear alignment ? There appear to be brands not screws that hold this trck together.

Any ideas?
