Postwar Lionel electromagnetic coupler question

I picked up a 2625 Irvington and rewiring it. While testing the couplers to make sure they work, only one works but the other one doesn't fire. I believe it's the electromagnet and not the plunger or other components. What do I do to make it work? Thank you

Measure the resistance of the coil with a VOM. You should see about 10 ohms. If not the coil is defective. I believe you have the 6 wheel trucks on that car. The coupler is 6TC-10R and can be had for about $8.
