They all have incandescent bulbs in them and I think most of them have two bulbs in them.i had them all hook up to one lionel CW 80 transformer  and also had my bump and go hook on there to.well seem to have fry the CW 80. What I need to know is what power sorce should I replace it with.how many watts do I need.any information would be greatly appreciated. My contact in my profile thank you.

14 buildings x 2 bulbs x 3.5watts/bulb = 98 watts. The CW puts out 5 amps max(80 watts) and then the foldback circuit kicks in protecting the transformer(flashing green light)... and this is before allowing 35-40 watts for your bump-n-go.

If you set your lights on the ACC programmed to 9-10 volts, and run your bump-n-go on the throttle just enough for satisfactory operation, the CW might cut it.

Otherwise, you should be looking at a KW(190 watts input), V(150 watts input)  or VW (yes V W - 150 watts input) transformer at a minimum.

Big as you can afford.  You can't have too much capacity, but you can have too little.

There are good deals on transformers like the Lionel KW, that will give you 140-150 watts at the output, sufficient for this task.  Just add a decent circuit breaker to the output.

Kent has some excellent rebuilt Lionel transformers for attractive prices, one of these will likely outlast you.
