Hello,
I have two questions regarding the Z4000 transformer and the DCS shutdown feature. I once heard that prior to operating the trains, I should put the Z4000 lever(s) halfway, before putting them at full strength. Is this true, and can I cause more damage by automatically putting the the lever at full strength? Also, is it necessary to use the "shutdown" feature on the dcs before shutting down the power on track (in other words, is it okay to turn off the transformer while the engines sounds/PS2 features are still on (engines are stopped))?
