PP&L COAL DUMP CAR QUESTION

I have just started using this car on my layout. It seems to have a hair trigger wherein if you look at it, the dump car will trip. I have other log cars with the same mechanism that do not do this. I have tried stretching the spring a bit and adding wait to the bin to no avail. What else can I try? Thanks in advance.
