So I have an a-b-a set of e-6's with proto 3. This set does not have a opening in the nose for a mars light(20-20344-1). However I picked up a new shell which does have the opening for a mars light. If you take a look at my pics, you will see that the lead and trailing A units have a lighting board in the nose of the loco. On that board is a male connector marked MRS/L which tells me that is for a mars light. So.......Can I take the headlight LED and plug it into the mars light connector and expect it to work?   Will an LED give the effect of a waving mars light? Is it possible I will blow a board or an LED?  Any help is appreciated. If I can do a test using the headlight LED and this works I will contact MTH to get another LED that I can use for the mars light.IMG_1449 [1)IMG_1450
