Problem w/K-Line Barrel Loader #124

HELP!! It's been around 5 years since I last opened the box and operated the above barrel loader. Then it worked fine. Putting the finishing touches on my layout...attempted to connect again and this time the motor operates BUT the cam won't engage fully to allow the man on the truck to go all the way back and forth. It appears to move forward but won't return to original position to catch another barrel. Is the motor shot???? I lubed the plunger (front and rear) but it still appears to "hang-up) and won't complete the cycle. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
