My Mohawk has been a consistently smooth runner, but there is a problem with it now. The DCS remote says "check track" or "engine not found" but my Lionel locomotives work just fine on that main line (can't test it with my other Premier steamer with similar roller spacing because it went to MTH for repairs in October and still waiting for it to be fixed and returned). Then when I manually push it a few inches, the engine comes on. The whistle works and the shut down feature will work, but if I scroll up to make it start moving, it just sits there. I deleted the engine and re-added it. I then got it to move, but it jerks foward violently a few feet with and a constant sparking from underneath the locomotive by the first set of drive wheels. It then craps out and shuts itself off. I will hit #3 to start it up, it does nothing. Jiggling it or moving it a few inches up/down the track gets it to turn on and make noise. It will scroll up 8 or 10 SMPH but the engine won't move again. I just finished cleaning the pick-up rollers and all wheels, which weren't really dirty to start with, but it makes zero difference. Help.
