New to O Gauge trains. As a child loved my how. Being a diehard IA Hawkeye fan I built several items from the campus and filled them with lego minifigures. Now that led to the "Hawkeye Express" (yes that was once a real train) which using O Gauge will work perfect for scaling. SO, with a 12 X 14 room I have laid out a table with 2 oval tracks (connected) so I can run 2 opposing trains. I know a may be running some O48 and O54. I'm probably planning to use MTH real track. Here is what I came up with for a layout to go around my items. Would like some opinions/suggestions/comments. One thing I'm conserned about, will there be any problems with these large cars making my turns and meeting each other on opposing tracks? I also am looking for recommendations on powering, DCS, etc. and yes how would I wire all this and the branches. Thanks everyone for helping me get this started and looking forward to what will develope. planning 5planning 5b

There is a tool for making measurements in SCARM.  It looks like a gold colored tape measure on the bar.  Use it to measure the centerline distance between adjacent tracks.  The parallel track in the bottom left of your drawing appear much to close together.  They should be closer to 5" between center rails.

O48 is going to limit you to more traditional-sized cars.

PS. You should add another crossover between you two loops so trains and freely travel between the loops regardless of direction of travel.
