A few days ago I posted a few pictures of the turntable within the steam facilities on my layout.  The pictures below show an overview of the entire roundhouse / turntable area.  I have just placed where the tracks will be and the supporting structures.  Tracks still need to be aligned vertically to mate with the table and then the process of laying ballast and groundcover will begin.  Here is hoping you enjoy the pictures and I appreciate anyone taking time to make comments...!!

Thanks,

Alan

Alan,

Very nice engine servicing complex!  You have a great stable of PRR locomotives.  Dewey, is right I think about adding the soot and filth.  I was recently examining some photos of engine facilities and found that in many cases they and everything around them was black or so it seemed from smoke, soot and cinders.  Thanks for sharing your work!  Bo

Visit my website Bo's Trains at http://www.bostrains.com  Thanks!

Lou...thank you!  The PRR roster is even larger if I consider the ones in boxes and on the shelves!!

Dewey...I will certainly take your advice and dirty up everything around the roundhouse scene.

Mike...thanks!  The scene is around 11 feet square...

Thank you Bo....I will be working on weathering more and more this year as I am close to completing the major scenes..

Alex...thanks so much!  I need you to get over here and help me tackle all of the ballasting!!

Charlie...always appreciate your nice comments!!

Thanks,

Alan

If you have an attached garage, like all the houses in our sub-division, I hope you have carbon monoxide detectors inside your house. One of our neighbors started backing into HER garage, and set off both of the carbon monoxide detectors. NOT the smartest thing to do, in my opinion.

As far as "company photo shoots" the real railroads in the U.S. generally stopped doing that after the very late 1890s.
