I have a weird issue, picked up 2 GG1s(20-5548-1/20-5549-1), replacing the 5v boards (these are functional but with wincaps so I have to replace those) with known good 5v boards from some diesels. Updating the sound file, sounds update but the smoke is "always on." I've tried two different 5v boards from diesels with the GG1 sound files but they all keep the smoke on.
Testing with the PS2 test bench the original GG1 5v boards have heater on but fan off (except when it puffs it intermittently) whereas the 2 5v replacement boards have both heater and fan on.
Is there something I'm missing when updating these?
