The PS/2 pass-through is a 1:1 connection from front to back for unpowered dummies with no lights or smoke. If the PS/3 tether uses the same connection, it should work, but that's just a guess as I haven't seen one of the PS/3 models.
I have a new set of the PRR F-7 ABA and the tethers and connectors are the same as PS2. Don't see why it wouldn't work. But maybe the best thing to do would be plug it in, don't power it up and do a continuity test and makes sure the pins line up right.
