Reading some old railroad books I had the other night and noticed as O gaugers we still don't have any Pullman Palace cars for our layouts. The HO guys have it made with MDC (Roundhouse) making a nice set of cars... where are ours?
Maybe a new idea out there for the manufactures? Do you think we will get so lucky?

Think that there were some available a long time ago in kit form from Exacta. These were some sort of composite plastic material that had embossed relief detail
Closest that I have a photo of today is of a Wagner Sleeper that I need to restore someday. I have a 2nd one that revered to kit form to restore as well.
Were American Standard Car Co. kits close enough for govt. work?
Chooch ran a 11 car 1906 GN limited set years ago. I built the proto set for him and they are nice. Haven't seen any come up for sale.
I agree, we need them on the market.
I thought that MTH made a set of similar cars a few years ago to go the NYC 999 engine. You may want to check old MTH catalogs.

I remember those when they came out, but I've never seen a single one built as far as I know. Seem to recall that they were pricey buggers, too.

I'm seeing 8 closed platform passenger car kits on their web site, including an observation car - O-362 - not all are the 1903 cars; some are 1909 or 1900 cars.
The chooch cars were 150.00 per, this was for a basic set. You had to add all the details,trucks, brake rigging,hand rails etc. I revised the kits to make them easier to build. The instructions were poor. I still have about 20 of the kits left. They make up to be great cars, but you need to put a lot of work in them. Also no decals. All in all they are worth the time and effort.
