Has anyone ordered a transformer from this website www.lioneltransformer.com? What was your experience? Thank you.

I have had no contact with the gentleman who owns that website but I'm pretty sure he is a forum member here and has made quite a few posts helping folks with their transformer problems. I'm sure somebody will post a good endorsement.
Yes, I know Davis. He is a top notch Transformer man and really does stand behind his stuff. You won't go wrong there.

I have had contact with Davis also, he upgraded the pw ZW that my small Grand Daughters now use to operate their trains: Thomas, Percy, James, etc, etc. First class repair and sales service. Located in Piedmont, N.C.
Reasonable pricing and quality work. I normally have repaired and upgraded my 3 ZWs myself but age and drop in skills has changed that. Davis is my choice now.
I have done business with Davis also. He is a-one in my book. I highly recommend him and his work.

Thank you to everyone who replied.
I take it he’s not the same guy who sells reconditioned transformers in the Red Hall at York?
Bill
I believe Harry Lutz is the fellow in the Red Hall with the transformers that you are talking about. Very nice guy. I dropped off my VW to him on Friday for a new cord and a reconditioning. He emailed me yesterday afternoon that it is done already!! Talk about quick service, very reasonable too. I recommend him if you have a transformer need.
I seem to remember reading a story about a dentist who replaced the roller in his ZW with a gold substitute. Anybody remember who that was?
I saw the story about the gold rollers on an older TM video. I think they were from Wisconsin or Minnesota and were indeed dentists.
