I took my, up graded to proto 2, 20-3016 Empire State Hudson to my train club last night (conventional operation) and at first the engine ran silent, then the engine sounds began but the whistle and bell remained silent. I ran the engine on two different main lines, both individually powered by z4000's and got the same result. I took the engine home, put it on my track with DCS and everything worked the way it should.

Any ideas?

Most likely the tether wasn't securely plugged-in while at the club.

I suppose it's possible that someone at the club turn down the volume for the whistle and bell. Click on "sound" & check.
