Q about WbB GP-9 locos.....

I want to build/paint a GP-9 in The Rock bankruptcy blue scheme. The Rock Island GP-9's did not have dynamic braking. Is the dynamic brake 'bulge ' a separate piece on the WbB locos?? I have a WbB GP-9 that does not have the dynamic brake unit but I bought it that way....but all the photos of current models do have dynamic brakes.....so is it removable??? Thanks

On the older Williams, before Bachmann, the dynamic brake was removable. Don't know how it is with WbB. Also on the older Williams GP-38's the dynamic brake was molded in to the shell and not removable.

I just got a CNJ WBB GP 9 and popped the blister off no problem. It is even painted below it. CNJ had no dynamic brakes on these units but had other differences that are harder to "fix".

I have a used pair of Canadian National GP-9's. Something looked wrong, and I finally realized that one of the blisters was on backwards. Funny that it fits either way. It popped right off.
