I am looking for information about the dimensions of Lionel's D-133 display from the 1950's.
According to the documentation I've seen the base layout portion of the unit is 4 feet by 6 feet.
Anybody know the thickness?

Its more critical for me to find out the dimensions of the shelving unit.
It must be about 6 feet long, because it fits on the base. (or slightly less)
Here is the key question: how tall is it?
I guess it would be good to know the thickness too.

I am asking because I have to go retrieve one with a friend, and we need to be certain we are bringing a large enough trailer.

Thanks Doc!

I think we are going to use a 5 x 8 enclosed trailer. The door opening is only 4 feet wide. Sounds like we should be able to slide the sections through the door. We plan to lay down a couple of boards to slide the layout on.
I have some movers blankets. We may try wrapping the sections first. If so, we will have to hold them at an angle to get them through the opening.

Any constructive thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.
