I have a question if someone knows the answer it would be a big help to me....I recently took the shell off this steam engine to replace the wick...I notice in front of the smoke unit is a small bulb mounted that lights up when running...I cannot figure out why it is there...it does not show when shell is on.... not a headlight or marker light or number board light...it seems to do nothing but sit there and light up when engine is running....you would not even know there was a light bulb there until you take off the engine shell.....anyone know why MTH mounted that light there. Thanks for any help on the subject... Jake

It is not the headlight....it has a headlight.... it is mounted about a inch in front of smoke unit

It lights the class lights, there is a green plastic piece inside the boiler shell that pipes the light to the outside bumps.
