Is anybody familiar with the history of Rail Chief accessories? Among the items they made were cast metal cows, horses, pigs, and sheep. They also made wooden building kits including telegraph poles, billboards, and a station platform.
At one time, I thought Rail Chief was a house brand for Model Railroad Equipment Corp (Carmen Webster's) on 45th St., in New York City, but now I am not so sure.
I have seen both "O" gauge and "HO product.
Below is a picture of their cow set ("O" gauge), lifted from EBay. All of the Rail Chief stuff I have seen came in similar boxes.
