Hello all, I just picked up a little RK 0-6-0 switcher for my two boys as they wanted a little puffer engine (30-1210-1). Everything runs great with it, but the smoke is next to non existent on it. When standing in neutral there is no smoke. When power is applied it begins to smoke very faintly after a minute or two. I am currently running it in conventional as we do not have a permanent layout set up.
I have taken apart the smoke unit and make sure the wicks looked good, no charring on them. The elements are getting .8V while standing and about 1.6 - 1.7 volt while running. Anything else is beyond my ability to diagnose.
Any recommendations before I drive it an hour or ship it out?
