I am trying to wire a rail king

30-11005 block signal with three wires, red, green and a black one to a rail king itad the one that plugs into the track. It keeps showing red and when the itad is activated it goes blank. These things can be tricky. I do appreciate any help. Thank you

I think it might just be a loose wire in the defective signal.  If you are willing to remove the bottom plate under the signal to expose the base, I'm hoping you might see a loose green wire connection to a circuit board which should be an easy repair (albeit requiring a soldering iron).  I realize the price-point of these signals is such that it's not economical to get it "professionally" repaired.

I feel your pain!   I realize the closest exit and your course of action is to just live with it.

That said, if you find yourself with nothing better to do on a rainy day, let "us" know and I for one will be willing to guide you thru how to repair it.  It would require a digital multimeter, soldering, and a maybe one or two inexpensive (10 cent, 25 cent) components - shipping costs will be the showstopper unless the local Radio Shack makes a comeback!

For example, here's a similar thread with dark LEDs on the 30-11005.  The schematic for the MTH 3-aspect "timed-yellow" circuit has been published here on OGR (copied below):
