Here is the NS system map for Harrisburg and the York area. I plan to do some railfanning on Wednesday before the meet. Are there recommended spots I should not miss? I hope Wednesday is a generally busy day- thanks for suggestions.

Here is a guide for your perusal.
I assume you have visited the PRR Museum in Strasburg?
I got an arbitrary (not on purpose) rail fanning spot just outside of York!!! Coming East on Rte 30, headed towards York, a couple of time I've been STUCK waiting on the cement trains doing switching at the cement plant! They obviously block the road and I get my train spotter experience there. Meanwhile, my supply of coffee in my mug gets shallower..........and shallower.........
Thanks Laz, I forgot about that web site, it has several good ideas. When I checked it, I found it also has a York link, I wonder which of these buildings / towers are still standing? I don't see Redjimmy's cement train location but maybe it is there.

Joe, I have done the PRR museum- great place!
Hey Hokie....my bad...the cement plant is actually called "Lehigh Valley Cement" plant...it's on Route 462, maybe a mile or two PAST where route 30 splits into route 30 AND 462...so it isn't on Route 30 AT ALL. I googled it to make sure....if you like a dusty vehicle, that's the place to be at switching time...lol!😎 roll up the windows!
Strasburg RR. Real steam, and a few antique railcars.
Harrisburg and North: Enola Yard - there are some restaurants on Rt 15 which overlook, and railfans hang out on the River Road bridge (though you need telephoto lens for good shots); Bridgeview Bed & Breakfast at the Rockville Bridge; Duncannon (south of town, and at the station in town).
