I seem to be late to the party once again. I purchased a MTH 4 car Amfleet set in the late 1990s. I finally opened the set up after a decade or so to set up the cars on my holiday layout in my family room. I can only connect two cars out of four to my E60. Another car will fail soon as the zinc pest has warped the brackets and crumbled the couplers. Might someone have a lead on any remaining DD-0000073 replacement kits? Thank You.

This Thread has the details on the replacement kit. I think when I ordered mine From MTH, they were just about out. That was 2016. You my want to be more specific in your topic to get more eyes on your question. I don't know if there is a work around or if MTH ressued the cars and there are other parts which could be used.
Good Luck
I just replaced eight sets on an MBTA amfleet set about a month ago. All parts were in stock and it takes about 30 mins to complete. They work perfectly now. They are not cheap when replacing in bulk. Good luck!!
Chefmarkt69,
Do you have a part number and point of sale for these trucks. I may be needing them.
I bought the replacement assemblies from MTH (when Midge was still there) in 2020. The part number was DD0000073.
I just searched on the new mthpartsandsales.com and they show out of stock. When I got them the last time I had to wait a few months until they did a run of them. You might want to email them info@mthpartsandsales.com and ask if they’ll get more made.
Patrick,
let me check what part number I ordered. I will post later today.
Patrick,
I did check to see which one’s I ordered, sad news they are out of stock. Please see screen shot. Maybe reach out to the parts guys at MTH and they might have an eta? Sorry boss

The other option is to buy the entire truck at $25 each--part DA7200010. It is also out of stock now. The last time I needed to repair Amfleet cars I periodically searched for both DD0000073 and DA7200010 and bought the first option that came back into stock.
I have to say after repairing all of the cars and then I converted all of them to led lights with kits that Royz trains sells they really work and look great!! Worth the wait for the parts!!
I received a message from MTH parts and sales stating that sometime early next year (2024) the parts will arrive.
Thank You MTH Parts!
If you get a chance look me up on YouTube and take a look at my videos of them!! I have to add some of them when they have been repaired.
