Hi everyone...New to the hobby & wanted to ask a question:i was wondering if I should pick up one of these for $200 in good shape -With all of the MTH rumors does it make sense to buy a set that there may be no parts down the road- or something-
I`ve heard about MTH boards that don`t work & wanted info on if it is worth spending my hard earned $200 for older MTH sets
I think you should buy it. A nice semi-scale set that runs conventionally with engine sounds and electro couplers and it is PS1. I would replace the battery with a BCR or at least a fully charged battery before running it. If it has the orginal white battery in it, it is probably expired as it has been many years since these were made.There were many of these sets sold and the engines and cars are being sold online all the time as people go to PS2 and PS3.
And if you decide to move up to PS2 or PS3 you still have the cars and such that will run with a command control engine.
