Nice! I wonder how long it takes to do a paint job like that.
BnO Hendo, if you don't believe the picture, you can come down to the north carolina transportation museum in spencer, north carolina july 3rd and 4th, 2012. and see ALL of norfolk-southern heritage engines!!!! (all 20 and counting.......).............rogerw.
Best looking one yet, IMO!
AWESOME!!! Really looks good on that SD.
Wowak, I remember when CTT made fun of the Reading GP30 that MTH made in Protosounds, really ticked me off, didn't buy a copy or subscribe for years. I hope someone makes this loco, hopefully MTH, as I don't do Legacy.
That's about three-shades of awesome. Norfolk-Southern has done a great job with its heritage paint schemes. I'm not even a fan of the predecessor roads, but as the self-appointed Information Minister of the Isle of Denial I think they're fantastic and long overdue.
NS deserves many tons of kudos--enough to fill one of their coal trains--for this splendid effort.
That is really nice.
Wasn't the Reading a coal road?
Wasn't the Reading a coal road?
For the most part it was. But, the origin of "BEE LINE SERVICE" was a program the Reading created in which any company it serviced could call for a pickup/drop off and a loco would be dispatched and make a "bee line" just to take care of that client.

Great photo Roger - Thanks for posting.
Do you have photos of other NS Heritage units you could post?

Wow, that is the most spectacular of them all(except PRR) I may get two of this model, one MTH and one Lionel.
We need to thank NS in an Email sent from all of us here at ORG. Maybe the administration can figure it out on how to do that king of letter we can sign.

One wonderful side effect from all of these heritage paint schemes, is that we all now have the perfect excuse (If one were ever needed.) to run any locomotive that we like on our railroads. Just claim that it's a heritage scheme locomotive, and no one can argue.
