For those of you in or around the greater Detroit Metro area. As you know our main train shop Wild Bill's Trains went out of business this past spring due to illness of the owner Elmer. Today September 9, 2016 I was informed Elmer passed away last week. My deepest condolences go out to his family, and friends. Thanks Elmer for your love of the hobby. You proved the boy in us never completely grows up.

I'm sorry to hear that. My sincerest condolences to his friends and family.
They had viewing, service and wake all in one day. I was able to see Elmer a few times during the months after he closed the store but he will be missed for a very long time.
My condolences go to you and his family and friends for your loss.
With sympathy,
Greg
Elmer (and Wild Bill) were a team, a Detroit toy train staple for many years and during my days at Great Lakes Hobby, Elmer and Wild Bill were number 1 in Michigan in total Lionel train sales while Great Lakes was a respectable but far distant 2d in Lionel sales.
Have a good train ride to the other side Elmer, Wild Bill will be at the station waiting for you.
With respect to the family...
God speed and good luck to Elmer. I will pray for his family.
