George, I built a unit from an old 35mm film canister with a Seuthe smoke unit mounted inside. I partially filled the canister (to cover the smoke unit) with smoke fluid and left some headspace at the top. I pressurized the headspace with an inexpensive aquarium air pump. My need was for a constant smoke stream representing filling my Lionel 175 rocket launcher with liquid oxygen fuel.                                                                                                                                                            It seems you could use a larger vessel, maybe made of a non-combustible material, and introduce the pressure pulse once the space became filled with smoke to get a large puff.
