It's about time you opened that dam. Looks good Steve.
Well trial and error. After I did the ripples with Mod Podge I wasn't happy with the dullness of the water.
A second pour of the Enviro Tex brought back the gloss I was looking for. All and all I'm pretty happy with the results.
Next is getting the trestle back in place then grass, shrubs, trees and people.

Yeesh...that's amazing! It looks great!
Wow lookin' good!
"Got the trestle back in place so I can run trains again!
Still need to do trees and ground cover.
Over all I'm happy with the results."
I should think that you would be happy with these results corsair29.
What a fantastic scene!
Amazing scene. What talent you have!
Steve, the whole scene looks great!!
Nice work!
That's really well done. The water and the truss get my attention the most and they're just awesome!
It’s looking better and better
Excellent transformation!!
Excellent work and very realistic - overall a beautiful layout Steve!

nice looking layout
Steve,
Congrats! The article was awesome. The layout really looks good in the magazine.
That's terrific, well-earned recognition. Good Job!
Steve, I really enjoyed the article especially the background when you were younger. Your layout is excellent as are the weathered rolling stock. Sad to see this layout go, but look forward to the new layout, I’m sure it will be great.

Steve, I enjoyed the article! Thank you for the three videos.
Great layout and enjoyable read. The whole issue in fact was very well done. Lot’s of great articles.
Thanks for all the nice comments guys.
Wish I diddn't have to take it down.
I am sure, Steve! When I read you are moving, I thought that is a layout that would make you hesitate on the move. I wish you well at you change location and a new layout!
Steve, I have not read the article yet, but just realized you have to take it down. Not a fun prospect from any aspect, except now you get to build a new one. And hopefully one that corrects previous mistakes. Mine is a work in progress. Jeff
Thank you for the video Steve! It certainly is a very nice layout! Besides being sad tearing down a layout, it looks like a lot of work! I think I would just lay down on the floor and never get up again!! 😢
Your layout will be missed but the great memories of the Friday night operating sessions will most certainly remain.
Thank you for allowing me to be a part of those nights.
Walter
Will miss those train nights. Thanks Steve.
Thank you for the video Steve. That is truly a magnificent layout. I hope you will create a dedicated build thread for the new layout.
