Redo numbers on postwar ZW | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

I have a PW zw that works fine, but due to age the numbers have faded on the handles that it is hard to read. I thought I read something that you could use white paint and wipe off the excess but it would stay in the groves. Has anyone refreshed the numbers on their zw? I would probably do the same with the grove on the metal rings, but with a different color.

Try a China marker or a crayon.

The paint trick works fine, I've done that with stuff that has recessed lettering.
