I have had my equipment in storage for several years and now I am back and up and running. My main problem is that my remote control display keeps going blank. Very annoying. I thought I had solved the problem by resetting the remote and adding the locomotives back in to the remote but no luck. I hope someone knows a solution. I have replaced the batteries and it still keeps doing it.

The most common cause is the battery compartment design. It, in a word, sucks! If you add a piece of foam behind the batteries under the cover to make them stay tightly in place, it should solve that issue.
However, if you're losing all the stored engines, that's a different issue.
Thee's a setting to tell the remote to turn itself off after a predetermined amount of time. You can set it by pressing: Menu/System/Remote Setup/Remote Powerdown
This and a whole lot more is all in “The DCS Companion 3rd Edition!" This book is available from many fine OGR advertisers and forum sponsors, or as an eBook or a printed book at MTH's web store! |
Loose battery someplace....You may have to gently pry out a tab, resetting the remote would delete the engines and also set the power down remote time to 60 minutes.
Thanks Guys,
I believe you have provided the solution to my remote going blank.
