Does anyone know where I can purchase 18 volt mini light bulbs. The style that looks similar to string of mini Christmas tree light bulbs. I would like to be able to run my older Santa Fe Warbonnet and Super Chief passenger cars on Command Control. These older plastic body passenger cars from the 1990's I believe came with 12 volt bulbs.

A cheap and easy way to solve the problem is a 1A series diode in the track power feed. This will cut the power down to a nice level for your 12V bulbs.
Where would you install those John. I currently power my layout with a ZW Model R, and a 990 Legacy set. I like using the ZW because I have accessories hooked to it, and it powers everything. I have a 180 power brick and Power Masters, and a TPC but I like my old ZW. I also use Lionel O gauge tubular track. Would you put the diode at the post of the ZW, and solder the track power wire to it. Or put the diode on the lock-on and solder the track wire to that. And do you use them on both positive and negative rails.
