Replacement Truck

Correct. On MTH freight cars the screws that hold the trucks are located INSIDE the car, i.e. the screw threads INTO the truck bolster from the top. Thus, the body of the car must be removed from the underframe (usually 4 screws, one located at each corner of the bottom of the underframe).
