TV reports the Denver-Boulder-Colorado Springs area continues to be hit with heavy rain and flooding. IIRC, there are several regular Forum posters from the area.

Any reports on how our fellow members are faring ??

Wouldn't hurt to say a prayer for their safety.

Sun is shining right now. The worst areas seem to be around the foothills. Boulder is flooded and Estes Park is a disaster from what I hear. A few friends of mine had their basements flood. Interstate 25 north bound is closed and several bridges are out around the foothill areas. The weather channel says it should rain through the weekend and then be over.

It just depends on where you are, as some of the storms have been intensely focused.  The people in Boulder, Longmont, Estes Park, Lyons and folks in the canyons, like the Big Thompson Canyon, have been absolutely devastated.

As of last night, my basement was completely dry, but two blocks away, a trickle creek had been transformed into a raging torrent of mud.  It is really, really bad for some folks.

I live in Aurora and work in Loveland (IT Contractor). When the spillways were opened for Big Thompson I was encourage to head out. On the hour plus drive home on every bridge that I crossed you see how swelled the rivers and creeks were I was amazed as only a week ago we had temperature in the 90s and there was still relatively little precip. This morning the word went out not to come in and about an hour later CDOT was closing portions of I-25 (my route to work). As far as my house goes only rain and drizzle. 4 miles away massive flooding. I have only spoken with a handful of our TCA members in the area and they seem to be doing okay.
