Are you sure it really came from him?  Using the member search function, that user has been posting pretty regularly, including 8 times just ttoday.

Agreed.

Sounds kind of scammy, although the text of the email seems pretty specific.  Tagging @cngw - maybe he can chime in.

Suggest getting in touch with Alan Arnold.

It looked legitimate to me and I was just trying to help him BUT I guess I was wrong.  Let's hope the real Greg White reads Mallard's post above and responds.

Yes, it's legit -- he's a former high school classmate of mine, and he had just sought my help with the same problem. No scam, and since he can't log in, and can't find a forum contact posted, I suspect he's reaching out to those of us he has email addresses for. I second Bill T's request that someone respond to Greg's problem (and suggest they may want to consider making it more obvious how someone with such a problem *can* get help directly).
