Looking to purchase a resistance soldering system. Was wondering if anyone had experience with them and had a recommendation for a particular brand.

Hi Gary,
I bought this kit https://www.micromark.com/Micr...stance-Soldering-Set from Micro-Mark and was very pleased with it for soldering the power and ground leads to the track (Ross Phantom). If you are using it for that purpose, remember to sand or grind off a bit of the blackening on the center rail.

A highly acclaimed system is the American Beauty line.
The American Beauty 10502 Tweezer-Style Resistance Soldering System is probably a very good choice, this has enough power to do most any soldering you'd do on model trains. I did a little with one of these at a friend's house, and I must admit, I sometimes consider picking one up. I just don't so enough brass train work to really justify it.
the Tweezer America Beauty I have I used for making railings. My electric bill seemed higher in the months I used it.
certain different metals will NOT fuse with each other so there is a chart you should follow.
Thank you all for your input.
