"Restoring" a NYC Hudson Valley Observation car

I recently purchased a Lionel 6-19083 NYC Hudson Valley Heavyweight Observation passenger car to be included in my O scale "railroad museum".

I have begun to "restore" this car by removing the window silhouettes and replacing them with clear window material.  I also removed the 4 incandescent bulbs which were used for interior lighting. I also removed a plastic mounting piece that was used to retain the outer shell.  This piece is entirely unnecessary.  With the interior area cleared out I will add some interior details to simulate seating. I will also add overhead LED lighting.

When completed this car will be used for "fan" trips when not on display at the railroad museum.  The car is otherwise in mint (restored) condition.

Mack,

Can you please provide additional source information like part numbers and links to appropriate pages and order information.  This is a great idea and a way to make use of all those silloutte passenger cars rather than just post them for sale.  When that was all that was available it was OK but rennovating is a fine project.

Thank you,
